The Importance of Recycling: A to Z

Taking into account all the new packaging and technological advances, the changes in lifestyles , the exponentially increasing population and the higher levels of individual wealth, it’s no wonder that we are creating more waste. It’s also no wonder that, in our new found comfort, we did not realize the damage we were causing to our surroundings.

And even for a while, I think we did start realizing the impact of our lifestyle but, chose to turn a blind eye to it. Because, when you think about it….  Isn’t ignorance bliss?

Unfortunately, the time to hide our heads in the sand has passed. With the help of the internet and the media, we cannot claim ignorance anymore. We have to start taking action.

One of the first steps to saving our planet is EDUCATION. There are still many people out there who believe that the world has an endless supply of resources; that we can continue destroying the forests and the water sources and that, out of the blue, we will still be able to get everything we need to maintain ourselves healthy.

Recycling is one of the easiest ways to impact the world we live in

Think about it… Our landfills are filled with millions of tons of garbage that could have been re-used. If everyone truly understood the importance of recycling, we would not be in the precarious situation we find ourselves in today.

This section is The Importance of Recycling “A to Z” section. Meaning: anything that is interesting to know about recycling that doesn’t exactly fall into one of the main categories will be discussed here. I am still working on getting all the information but for now, I will put the list of recyclable material that we should know about.
